One of my paintings was selected for the upcoming 'Open: The People's Exhibition' at Leicester Museum so I have taken it to be re-framed. When I previously exhibited it in Melbourne, I felt that the frame was too neutral, and the work got lost amongst the others. In order for it to stand out amongst a large number of other works, I have re-framed it in a dark brown that matches the darkest shadows in the painting. It has just arrived back and I think it looks much better- I'll have to wait and see the effect once it is hung. The exhibition is running from 14th December to 31st January at Leicester Museum and Art Gallery.
